Experience and success is why you should consider me to be your bowling coach. Not only am I the first person to complete the USAB/USBC Gold Certification program in 1999, I have also received numerous national coaching awards with regards to my helping countless bowlers improve -- including some who have gone on to make Team USA and Junior Team USA! My coaching style is designed to adapt to all types of bowling styles and skill levels. Whether your average is high or low, right or left handed... or two-handed, my coaching techniques have proven successful with bowlers all over the world. The United States Olympic Committee (USOC) selected me as their 2010 & 2012 National Developmental Coach of the Year. This is the first time anyone from the bowling industry has been selected for a USOC national award. Since the USOCs Development Coach of the Year award is open to all coaches, and that it covered every sport (47 in total) in the U.S. Olympic system, it is arguably one of the most significant U.S. coaching recognitions in all of sports. U.S. High School Bowling Foundation - www.ushsbf.org The U.S. High School Bowling Foundation (USHSBF), an IRS 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization, was formally founded in 2012. Like the name suggests, the USHSBF was created to promote and grow high school bowling throughout the country. The USHSBF has established high school bowling scoring records for 34 differents States (so far) and also established the National 300/800 Honor Roll featuring 2,325 - 300 games and 315 - 800 series from 30 different States, dating back to 1971.. In 2016, the USHSBF hosted the first-ever U.S. High School Bowling National ChampionshipTM in Greater Fort Lauderdale, Florida.. In its first eight years, the U.S. High School Bowling National ChampionshipTM has hosted more than 4,200 bowlers from 32 States, including Alaska and Hawaii.. This past year's 2024 U.S. High School Bowling National ChampionshipTM was hosted at Leisure Lanes in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, on June 8-10, 2024; which had a total of 580 bowlers. Gianmarc Manzione, Senior Editor for the Bowlers Journal International (BJI) magazine, wrote a nice article titled "Dream Deferred No Longer" about the creation of the U.S. High School Bowling National ChampionshipTM in the July '16 issue of BJI.. Click hear to read the National Championship article. In 2010, I founded high school bowling in Broward County. Working with the Florida High School Athletic Association (FHSAA), together we created a high school bowling program that is a varsity sport at the state level, yet is only intramural (non-varsity) in the county. More than 20 Broward County high schools have registered for bowling with the FHSAA. The 2023-24 school year marks the 14th season of Broward County High School Bowling and continues to be FHSAA District 15 for bowling. Broward County high school bowling has produced two FHSAA Girls State "Singles" Champions,, Crystal Singh in 2017 and Krystina Nealon in 2013. Three girls from Broward County have been selected to the 2013-14 and 2016-17 USBC/Dexter All-American High School teams. In 2018, Crystal Singh became the first girl from Florida ever selected the USBC Albert E. Crowe Star of Tomorrow. Coral Springs Charter School also won the 2019 FHSAA Girls "Team" Championship after finishing 2018 FHSAA State Runner-Up the year before. From 2006-07 through 2009-10 (2 years as a volunteer coach and 2 years as head coach) Gulliver Prep bowlers enjoyed numerous successes. These included: 2 State Singles Titles, 1 State Academic Championship, 1 District Team Championship, and 3 District Team Runner-ups.
With my coaching, bowlers have gone on to win numerous medals and tournament titles. The ultimate coaching success came when the Thailand National Bowling Team won its country's first-ever world championship GOLD medal during the 1995 FIQ World Championships in Reno!
